Lightning Bolt is a noise rock duo from Providence, Rhode Island, composed of Brian Chippendale on drums and vocals and Brian Gibson on bass guitar. The band met and formed in 1994, when the members of the then-trio attended the Rhode Island School of Design. The band signed to Load Records in 1997, and released their self-titled debut the same year. In total, Lightning Bolt has released four full-length albums, numerous vinyl singles, and appeared on several compilations.

Lightning Bolt are known for their guerrilla-style live performances, where they typically play on the ground rather than a stage, with the crowd gathered around them. The band's sound is typically loud and aggressive, though the group cites composers Philip Glass and Sun Ra as compositional influences.

Broken Social Scene are a Juno Award-winning Canadian indie rock band, a musical collective currently including nineteen members, formed in 1999 by Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. All of its members currently play in various other groups and solo projects, mainly based around the city of Toronto. The band refuses the label "supergroup," based on size or the ubiquity of their members, claiming that in the indie scene everyone is involved in more than one project. The group's sound could be considered a combination of all of its members' respective musical projects, and is occasionally considered baroque pop. It is characterized by a very large number of sounds, grand orchestrations featuring guitars, horns, woodwinds, and violins, unusual song structures, and an experimental, and sometimes chaotic production style from David Newfeld, who produced the second and third albums.

Efterklang is the name of a Danish rock group formed in December 2000.

The name 'Efterklang' comes from the Danish word for remembrance or reverberation. Though it consists of four core members, the group regularly includes three or more members for live gigs and plays orchestral and experimental rock music. Formed in Copenhagen, its four core members are: Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen, Thomas Husmer and Rasmus Stolberg. The original lineup also included Rune Mølgaard, but he has taken a more secluded role since 2007. When performing live, the core four-piece band is complemented with the addition of three to four closely-related live band members.

ალბათ ჩემთვის ყველაზე ძვირფასი და უსაყვარლესი ჯგუფი Sigur Ros არის ისლანდიური post-rock ბენდი, მელოდიური, კლასიკური და მინიმალისტური ელემენტებით... ჯგუფი ასევე ცნობილია მისი ვოკალისტის და ფრონტმენის Jónsi Birgisson's falsetto (jonsi) ს ჰაეროვანი და ნაზი ხმით...

ჯგუფი ჩამოყალიბდა 1994 წლის აგვისტოში, ისლანდიის დედაქალაქ რეიკიავიკში..

ჯგუფის თავდაპირველი წევრები იყვნენ: Jón Þór (Jónsi) Birgisson (გიტარა,ვოკალი) Georg Hólm (ბასი) Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson (დრამი) . 1998 წლიდან კი ჯგუფს შეუერთდა Kjartan Sveinsson (კლავიში) რამაც ჩემი აზრით გადამწყვეტი როლი ითამაშა ჯგუფის მომავალ შემოქმედებაში ... ხოლო მას შემდეგ რაც ჯგუფი დატოვა დრამერმა Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson(Ágætis byrjun ჩაწერის შემდეგ) იგი ჩაანაცვლა Orri Páll Dýrason...

მათი მეორე სტუდიური ალბომი ჩემთვის პირადად ათი მცნებასავით არის... ბევრს შეიძლება სასაცილოდ მოეჩვენოს მაგრამ ისევე როგორ 10 მცნება გამოგზავდა ღმერთმა ასევე გამოგვიგზავნა ჩვენ, უბრალოდ მოკვდავებს ამ ალბომში შესული ათი სიმღერა.. თითქიმის ყველა სიმღერას აქვს თავისი, განსაკუთრებული, და რაც მთავარია არაამქვეყნიური და არაბუნებრივი ჟღერადობა... რიგით მესამე სტუდიური ალბომის ყველა სიმღერა შესრულებულია ვოლნენსკაზე იგივე ჰოპენადიკზე ასე ვთქვათ აწყობილ ენაზე რომელიც გავს ისლანდიურს, მაგრამ იგი არ გამოიყენება არც სალაპარკოდ და არც საკონტაქტოდ... მიზეზი??? იგი არ არის სალიტერატურო ენა და მის არცერთ სიტყვას არ გააჩნია მნიშვნელობა... მაგრამ თუნდაც ამ არაფერზე 'ნამღერ' სიმღერებს იმხელა ემოცია მოაქვს ჩემში რომ მართლაც ვერ აგიღწერთ (ალბათ სწორედ ამიტომ ვთვლი თანამედროვეობის ყველაზე გენიალურ მუსიკალურ ჯგუფად sigur ros ს)

მადლობთ... მათი მეოთხე და ყველაზე მოულოდნელი ალბომია ჩემი აზრით. ჯგუფმა თავის 'არაამქვეყნიურ' ჟრერადობას შეურწყა რაღაც როკ ელემენტები და მივიღეთ takk.. უგენიალურესი და ძალიან დიდი ალბომი ... რომელშიც აბსოლიტურად ყველა ტრეკი არაჩვეულებრივი!!! დაწყებული glosoli ის მომაკვდინებელი ჟღერადობით დამთავრებული Hoppípolla ჰაეროვნებით ...

მათი რიგით მეხუთე სტუდიური ალბომი არის ''ბუკლეტი'' რომელიც ალბათ ისმინება განურჩევლად კანის ფერისა განურჩევლად რასისა და სქესისა : )... ალბომი არის სასტიკად მელოდიური და სასტიკად ლამაზი.. ალბომში იყო ერთი ყველაზე დიდი სიახლე რასაც მომავალში ბიჭებმა შეიძლება კიდევ მიჰყონ ხელი ... ჯგუფმა პირველად შეიტანა თავიანთ რეპერტუარში ინგლისურ ენაზე შესრულებული სიმღერა (All Alright)
